Of course, you should still check out the Women Who Rock Coloring Book, but we have other news, as well!
Most importantly, let's take a looks at GRR!'s accomplishments for 2011!
THE YEAR IN GIRLS ROCK! RHODE ISLAND!
A Little Bit of Everything performing at the Girls Rock Camp Final Showcase 2011
We’re getting louder every year!
• 32 girls attended our second annual, week-long Girls Rock Camp
• We awarded $4,100 in needs-based scholarships to campers who wouldn’t have otherwise been able to afford camp
• 16 women attended our three-day Ladies Rock Camp, which raised $1,650 for Girls Rock Camp scholarships
• In partnership with the Providence After School Alliance (PASA), we expanded our Girls Get Loud afterschool program to serve 31 girls in Providence Public Schools
• We conducted 8 Rock Labs for girls and women, where musicians of all skill levels could experiment, socialize, share ideas and create music
We moved our organization forward.
• Acquired 501(c)3 status from the IRS and became an independent nonprofit
• Hired a part-time executive director
• Recruited 10 amazing new board members
We did a lot of fun stuff!
• Organized and presented MADONNARAMA, which featured 13 acts and their unique interpretations of the Material Girl’s greatest hits, supporting GRR!
• Worked with Roots Café/Mosaic Bistro to present an all-ages performance with jazz artist Eva Cortes
• Collaborated with the Manton Avenue Project on I’m with the Band, a musical composed and scripted by young people

We've been busy! What else is going on, you ask? Well, we need YOUR input!
Please take 5 minutes and share your thoughts about the future direction of GRR! in our GRR! Supporter Survey. The data from this survey will be used to drive our strategic planning process, supported by the Women's Fund of Rhode Island.
